Belwind

Belwind is the 171MW offshore wind project located approximately 49km off the coast of Ostend, Belgium, which has been operational since 2010.

Located 49 km from shore in the North Sea, Belwind is one of the most distant offshore wind farms in this Belgian development zone. It’s 56 turbines spread over 17 km² generate enough green energy to power the equivalent of 160,000 homes. Belwind was developed by JERA Nex’s wholly owned subsidiary Parkwind.
