JERA Nex appoints Chief Investment Officer Zlati Christov

LONDON, MONDAY 2 SEPTEMBER: JERA Nex, the renewable energy developer launched in April by JERA, announced this morning the appointment of Zlati Christov as its Chief Investment Officer.

Mr. Christov joins JERA Nex with more than 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, investment banking, M&A and private equity. Prior to joining JERA Nex, he was a managing director at Morgan Stanley where he had responsibility for renewable energy and energy transition investment banking client coverage in EMEA.

During his investment banking career, Mr. Christov has led strategic advisory, M&A and capital raises for many of the leading European and international utilities, renewable energy and clean technology companies, including advising JERA on the acquisition of Parkwind in 2023. Parkwind is now part of JERA Nex, responsible for offshore wind development across Europe.

Mr. Christov will report to CEO Nathalie Oosterlinck and sit on the company’s Leadership Team, with responsibility for developing the company’s CIO function and overseeing investment strategy and decision making.
