Arcadis Ost 1

Arcadis Ost 1 is a 257MW offshore wind project in the German territorial waters of the Baltic Sea, northeast of the island of Rügen.

Its turbines cover 29 km² and added 257MW to the country’s expanding offshore capacity, creating enough green energy to power approximately 290,000 households.

Arcadis Ost 1 was inaugurated on December 5th 2023. With water depths of up to 45m and challenging soil conditions, the project used a floating turbine installation method. This is one of the most significant innovations in offshore wind energy and creates new offshore development opportunities throughout the world.
